Valve springs?

Sorry if this is a stubid question but im trying to decide if i should go stage 1 or 2 kelford cams...

my dilema is even though stage 2 includes the valve springs idk if i want to put them in. So im wondering if i would be ok running stage 2 without the upgraded valve springs and kept it at stock rev limit??

The more lift the cams have, the more the valve springs will be compressed on full lift. With the stage 2s, you probably go over the compression limit of the stock valve springs so that is why the springs are supplied. If you don't use them, there is a chance that you can break the stock valve springs causing the valve to drop into your cylinder.

I will have to say yes to weak springs in the X's head - I know I found out about that one in our own car ...
