LOL. My reason would be because my friends Megan exhaust on his 240 split in half and fell off.

I've had mine for 5 years and its run 10's with about 600hp.

Functions as good as new.

Because your opinions aren't bias selling their products?

All 3" exhaust will make that power, but I wouldn't want the thought of my exhaust falling apart on my conciousness while driving. I do not think "JDM" parts are perfect, but it seems to be more of a hit and miss thing with lower quality parts.

I will admit their price is enticing.

And I was not refering that JDM parts would be a better option. There are some great USDM companies out there, but I'm sure you all know who they are.

Yes, it is true that gaining a good name comes from reputation but it does not mean up and coming brands have lesser quality parts. In fact companies like this do there best to produce great parts so they can build there name, and that is where megan is.

I want an inexpensive exhaust that is quieter than what I have, but I don't think this is the one for me.

How about the Magnaflow dual tip exhaust? Summit Race is selling it for in the $500s. I'm waiting to see pictures of it.

Just FYI...

I installed this exhaust this weekend and had terrible fitment issues. You have to shift all 3 pieces around until you find the least worse fit. The exhaust looks great though.

It is also loud IMO. Definately not as quiet as many make it out to be. Quite a bit of extra vibration.

Which version of the exhaust did you purchase?

i got the black one on my x and i like it. it is not the best and is not stock. it will do the trick. I did not want to spend a grand in this day in time for some bling under the car. As far as rust i will let you no in 5 yers or so, the one and only problem i had and i had this problem with my high dollar one also is the gaskets, the ones that come with just about all pipes are cheap! get some good ones when you buy and you will be real happy. Loud, not at all with the thingies in the tips, take them out and they wake up, but not to loud. I had megan on a car about 4 years ago and that thing last just as well or better than my friends hks.
