Eric, do you have an estimate for when the heat shield will be available? And which heat shield is this - a replacement for the sheet-metal one that sort of wraps around the OEM casing?

 

Understood, but any O2/downpipe makes gains IIRC. I am just looking for comparisons, I guess It would involve a lot of time to do so (uninstall, reinstall) but I was just curious. Build quality does look good though!

 

on the dyno graph, shows 15hp.what other mods do you have there that it reaches 300+whp.is it with the help of other mods that it reaches additional hp on the downpipe?what if your mod is just the ams downpipe will it make the same +15hp?everysetup is different.so its not going to be the same result of increase on the dp as what you have.or is it?im considering coz i have some mods already.hks reloaded suction kit,hks ic pipes,hks hi power cb and yours truly ams ic,no tune yet .i want to stay with cats for passing emission.if i get the ams dp with mods i have will it make +15 hp without tune? any other advice or brand to replace my factory cats that gains in hp without throwing any cel or codes to my x ? ams dp +________+hks hi power cb = excellent tbe, right?

 

Don't know if it'll make '15', but I can say that you'll make more hp with it than sticking with the stock piece, and reduce lag and improve spoolup.

 

No, for every setup the downpipe will make a difference, but it may not be 15hp. I can tell you now you won't make 15hp with a cat on the car.

 

well, the decision has been made and it looks like the AMS dp will be arriving to me this Friday! God I love this forum! thanks for helping me decide....

 

so how did the AMS DP > T1R TP > Blitz CB all fit? I going the same route I think except I got the Invidia Cb
