here are some pics - it arrived today.

the whole set looks great, except for the flanged section that connects to the cat pipe - it pinches into 2.5" for like an inch the rest of the pipe connects to each other and clamps are supplied. i'm not going to try it, so i'll see if i can return this for a full refund. if not, i'll sell it here at a discount.

Man that looks good but that reduction sucks but hey Im sure there wouldnt be that big of a restriction. I know Im still lookin forward to getting it. I know if you have a o2 and downpipe it wont matter being that its only like for an inch. I know on my srt-4 I had a 3 inch downpipe into the factory cat back which was like 2.25 inches really didnt matter.

Hell, I'll take that off your hands if you end up selling it... nothing a little welding can't fix.

It seems like they only did that so there wont be any need to mess with heat shield good for fitment bad for performance.

you know...i just might take the pipe and see if my nearby muffler shop can make me a new flange...the muffler is just too good cost for performance value...i'll have to think hard on this

You will gain 0.5 WHP by replacing that small 2.5" section of pipe. My other car makes nearly 600 WHP on 23 PSI with half the exhaust being 2.5"

yeah i know...but still, it's like...i expected 3" all the way, so i'm a bit annoyed that i was only an inch away

edit: so i just went and bought a 3" universal flange, just so i can get the shop to weld in another 3" pipe and complete it all the way. let's see how it sounds afterwards...

Make sure it's all stainless steel. Not implying you're stupid, but very few exhaust shops even have stainless and stainless welding capabilities (the correct filler wire).

good advice...i'll remember that when going to the place. i brought a stainless steel pipe over there and they welded it fine before...so i think they should be fine. i can only hope it's as quiet as i expect it afterwards. if not...i think i might end up looking to weld in another resonator or something

i added two thick resonators on my old car before in addition to the world sport 2 muffler...maybe that's what i have to aim for, provided i have enough space down there for something like that.

by the way, i suspect the muffler on this model is actually this: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=7903 it's the only model on their site that matches the current one i have.

i'll have them when i put it on, but don't trust me for sound clips, as i'm not a believer of it myself, plus i don't have the equipment for good sound clips. i think i might put it on tonight, and fix the pinched section later, so stay tuned.
