Is the motor mount pretty easy to install?

I know that front can be done with out and jacking etc... I am sure you need jack the engine and tranny for the side mounts and rear. So you can align the bolts back through the eyelets.

How is the vibration on this....would you say bearable for a daily driven car? Or do you think it would get old after awhile of driving in traffic? I can tolerate a little if it would make shifting smoother, I just don't want it to feel like there's a huge vibrator under the car.

+1 For the motor mount. I've driven ~5000mi with AMS 70A pre-pressed bushing and love it. It definitely cleans up shifting and reduces some of the motor jerking. If you don't mind adding some "rawness" in the form of rattles, vibration and a slight increase in engine noise, it's an inexpensive mod that really adds to feel of the car. And I've never heard complaints from any of my passengers about the noise or vibration bothering them which is plus.

And I've heard that AMS now carries a stiffer 90A durometer bushing for the X, but don't know anyone who's tried it. Is anyone running a 90A bushing in their X? I'm curious about how livable (or impractical) running that stiff of a bushing is for a DD. The 70A I'm running communicates a lot of vibration with how stiff our chassis is and I'm not sure I could stand much more than what I've already got. Tempted to try it though...

^ Great info. I'm also curious if anyone is running any AMR bushings/mounts for the engine or tranny in addition the one referenced in this thread? And if so, how much additional benefit and associated NVH?

in all of my cars , not limited to my evos, i am very understanding in regards to living with alterations i make to better performance and any downsides they carry. That being said, i don't think i would want to run the 90A for daily use or the 70a if it was teamed with any other mounts....don't see a need
