Deatsch Werks 1000 cc injectors

Just got a chance to install the new Deatsch Werks 1,000 cc injectors in our EVOX and get them dialed in.

The car, for a refresher, is running our Stages 1-3, Cozworth cams and a Blouch Dominator 2 turbo on it. Previously, in the middle of winter, the car made 403 whp on our dyno here. For reference when it made 300 whp the car ran 12.2 at 112 mph.

I've had the RC Engineering 750's in the car, they ran well but I did not like the patch harness that had to be used for the wiring.

I then switched the car over to the Deatsch Werks 800's, I was very happy with those and they are a direct replacement injector.

Switching from the 800's to the 1,000's required a major change in the fuel trims to get the car dialed in again. It was almost like the 1,000 cc rating is a little under rated to be honest, which is good for us!

Car runs perfect, install is a no brainer.

Good job to Deatsch Werks on the injectors.

BTW, these will not be ready for a few more weeks yet. Just wanted to let you all know they do work well.

Thanks for reading.

Good to know they were trouble free replacing the 800cc and just needed some tuning. I was trying to hold out for the 1000cc but ended up buying the 800cc a few days ago knowing that it would be enough for street tune boost levels.

I'm assuming that means you had to lean out the off boost load cells more compared to the 100%+ load cells to get fuel trims in line? That's interesting that they ended up being more than 25% higher flow as well over the 800cc injectors. What were the deadtime settings that each size used?

So, why did you switch to 1000s if you were happy with 800s? Just to try them out, or there was another reason?

I switched to test the injectors out and to verify how well they worked.

If I had to guesstimate using the latest dyno numbers: low low 11's assuming stock weight, maybe high 10's with some tweaks plus a good launch though!

From the feel of the car I am going to guess the car will run low 11's. The car has never had any race gas in it, is tuned on just 93 octane and is at 25-26 psi of boost. Runs excellent. Next weekend at the BR Sport Compact Shootout we will find out what it runs. Then we are going to build our GT35r kit for the car.

Low 11's on pump gas is right where I want to be as well, you definitely have a nice responsive combo there for the street and strip. I wish I could hit up the BR Sport Compact Shootut but the DSM/Evo shootout is definitely on my list this year.

GT35r's are always fun to play with.

Hello,

I bought a set of DeatschWerks Injector for evo X . Every where are "drop in fitment" ... Mine was not as simple ! just wondering why ?

Mine looks exactly like this :

What and why are these small 2 things on the side which goes to the intake manifold ? it has no space there where to fit.. also the length of the injector between the o rings are longer too ?! I have to use custom spacer to put back the fuel rail ?!

Does your set of DW 1000cc looks that ? or I got wrong ? I bought it new and have flow balancing paper .

I had to space out my fuel rail also or else the plastic tabs on the injectors got smashed.

BTW, I have a Boomba rail, haven't tried it with OEM.

I didn't do anything with them. I drilled out washers just large enough to fit over the lip on the 2 plastic spacers and placed one each on the top and bottom of the 2 spacers. This spaced the fuel rail about 3/16ths and gives allows me to tighten everything down without contacting the plastic tabs on the injectors..
