cbe. get all your parts on then get tuned so you dont spend $$$$$ on ten tunes.

ok and do you think i should get rid of the resonator or keep it or keep the resonator and take off the muffler or even take off the cat back and put on a high flow cat i was told that the cat on the car is already a high flow so i was thinking about just keeping it on its just hard because alot of shops have not worked on the evo x so they dont really know what the best set up for that car would be

That's a tough call. Common sense would say get the CBE because it'll yield immediate gains and you'll feel the difference more, but if you know you won't have the money for a tune anytime soon after getting the CBE then the tune is your best $$$ : performance investment IMO because it does more then just give you more HP.

straight through 3inch setup would be ideal with no cat.

no i disagree. both will yeild immediate gains however spending money on multiple tunes is a waste of hard earned money. get all your parts together and get tuned once.

it would feel alot better then stock. i would say do a cbe, test pipe, and O2 downpipe first. then get an intake. then IC pipes and FMIC. then get tuned.

then you will see very good gains. and should be well into the 12.00's

no ur car will feel fine, better if anything. but you wont maximize the gains until you get tuned.

I agree with you, but we're not trying to figure out what's the best order for him to do his modifications to the car. It's obvious he doesn't have money to mod like that so all I'm saying a tune is the best bang for his buck which is FACT even though it means spending more money down the road for a re-tune once more mods are added.

And by immediate gains I mean the difference in throttle response. Obviously he'll get gains from both, but like I said before. It's not all about HP and TQ. I'm sure that factory map is horrible and the car is running rich like hell like most Evos do from the factory.
