Transmission/Clutch Noise

Noob questions, this is my first manual car so the sound might be normal. Sometimes when I step on the clutch and change gears I hear a pretty noticeable tick/knock/click sound coming from the transmission/clutch. Anyone know what that is.

Is it still under break in period? If it's still very audible after the break in enough to make you cringe, then I would suggest taking it to the dealership.

Bad throwout bearing might also be a possibility.

This is normal for the EVO X, it has a lot to do with the syncro's. If the clutch still has enough grip to stall the car then your clutch is still functioning walukab14. This car is temperamental, it sometimes wants to stall on me, I either release the clutch too fast or fail to give it a bump in gas. You have to pay full attention to your taking off/shifts with this car, awd make s a huge difference. I will say one thing though, this clutch is rather easy to burn, but I have over 17k on my ride and the clutch is still going strong, GOD willing this continues for another 70k to 80k! Good Luck!

Mine also makes this noise when I start moving in first gear. I feel that it is normal but it if starts to become louder or cause problems then it's warranty time!
