Any Exo X cammed?

Just like the title of the thread are there any Evo X's that have been cammed. I don't really see any post about them. If you have a X with cams I want to get your feedbacks. thanks

Mike,

Can you post any data for the X MR with the Kelford cams? I was under the impression that all of the Xs that are cammed are running an aftermarket turbocharger with the exception of the car that TurboTrix tuned several months back. Any insight would be great. THanks

Question with our without a tune too? Was the 30whp just dropping in cams? What would a Stg 2 cam pick up you think?

Here is my dyno sheet on stock turbo and kelford Stage 1. This was before FMIC and Profec B was installed. After the boost curve was adjusted and the FMIC 4500 - 7000 RPM range followed the same curve as the low end for a peak of ~341whp @ ~6800 RPM and 312 wtq @ ~4500 RPM. Unfortunatly I only have the print out and no scanner to post that sheet.

This is actually a good thread. I am curious myself because I want to get cams first to see what the stock turbo can do before i upgrade it. There isn't too many threads about cammed X's and some didn't update with results. Another shop told me they picked up 40whp with the cossie mx1 after tuning. I believe that was with the stock turbo...seems like alot of power if thats true.
I'm looking for a set that can make some decent power with the stock turbo for now and will also make good power when I upgrade (looking at FP Red).

The Evo X in the graph has Harman Motive Intake, UICP and Turboback Exhaust on 100oct. When the Cosworth MX1 Camshafts were installed, the car made over 10 HP and about 30ft-lbs TQ with NO tuning.

With no other changes than the addition of the Cosworth cams, the results were promising. Peak torque rose by 36 lb-ft, and power was lifted by 34 hp.

A few hours later when all was said and done, this was the result:

359 horsepower at 6,050 rpm

368 lb-ft of torque at 4,450 rpm

Note the gains across the entire rev range relative to our pre-cam result.

With the boost set to 22psi the car made 357whp/319ft-lbs on the stock cams. With the addition of the cams and no tuning the car made 356whp/344ft-lbs.

Cosworth vs Stock

This is before and after. Before tuned and running good. After is cams only, no other mods and not re-tuned. Same boost before and after.

So the net gains are minimal. It seems you gain about 30 more foot pounds of torque more than anything from all these dyno's. Might be worth it to some. I'm sure more gains with a larger turbo.
