Catch Can Setup

So after having oil spew all over my engine bay I have decided to get an oil catch can so my PCV line from the block to intake wont be kinked anymore.

I am going to get the can from AMS, along with the AN fittings and line. Does a line from the block to the can, then the can to the intake sound about right? Inline steup is best right?

I'm just a little confused with where I need fittings and whatnot. It's my first time using AN fittings/line. Maybe I'll just use standard ruber line. IDK yet. Thanks!

I did a couple of test with a Cusco oil can a few months ago. Nothing! I don't think we need such equipment unless you run racing pistons (I suppose). The amount of oil collected was insignificant. I had V8's before and the difference is huge. You can collect 2 or 3 full spoons of burn oil a week. a month after install it in the evo I collect half spoon/ clean oil.
do you have some pictures to share about the ..."oil spew all over the engine bay"....?
make a search in the evo x forums about: oil catch can
there is more than a couple of trheads about it

I went with the PERRIN catch can, and I have it connected inline just as you described above. It has been on the car for more than 4 months now and it is still pretty much clean. There was oil residue in the stock line when I took it off, so a minuscule amount of oil does come through. Is the catch can necessary? No, but it is a cleaner way to run the motor.

Here is a picture of how I've got mine installed:

Looks good. Very out of the way. Do you think it would still fit in the same spot if you had the BOV in the factory position?

How/where did you mount the catch can if you don't mind my asking?

I don't think the PERRIN catch can would fit there with the BOV in the stock position. The lines connect to the top of the PERRIN catch can, and I had to bend that bracket a good bit to get it to clear the strut bar. If you were using a different catch can where the lines connected to the sides, for example, it would probably still work.
