I just got my car back running from putting in a twin disc in it. It drove fine for awhile then the next day i was trin to get my boost problems right and when i got done and was pullin down my street the oil light was flashing a little bit never staying on (just flashing when it wanted to it seemed like), and couldnt get over 15lbs either. I checked the oil level and the sending unit and both were good, and going to check the oil pressure tommorrow at work. I let it sit over night and got in it and no light and could hit 25lbs just fine so i drove it around for a couple hours and i got down on it one time and a few minutes later the prob came back (oil light and low boost). Anyone got any ideas? I herd from one person that it could be my stock blow off vavle but im not sure, im kinda stumped.

 

Wow that's wierd. I don't think anyone has had that issue yet.

 

ya tell me about it im stumped i dont know what it could be like i said someone said it could be the stock blow off valve but im not sure i guess im going to try and replace it and see what it does

 

How is the Oil Light warning of lower pressure in any way related to a BOV?

Sounds like the car is being put into a partial limp mode if it detects low oil pressure, are there any engine codes?
