The Sound of Cobb SF Intake

The Sound of Cobb SF Intake

I recently installed the Cobb Sf intake, but I notice that the sound is so loud. Even though when I step on the gas just a little bit (like normal acceleration), I can hear a loud air sound from the intake. I know the aftermarket air intake sound would be louder than the factory one, but Is that normal for Cobb SF intake to have such a loud sound under normal acceleration?

Yes, you hear turbo spool. You get used to it.

This is why I don't want an intake. Drop-in should be enough for me or a box style intake.

where do you get a Cobb SF intake? Their website doesn't sell it

You can search Evo X Cobb Sf Intake in Google, and you will find lots of place still sell it. I got it from CI Motorsports, but it took 10 days to ship to my home.

When I first put my AMS intake on I wasn't sure if I liked the sound of the intake and how loud it was. Now I couldn't imagine the car without it. It just sounds more aggressive, what I would expect from an Evo

any open filter/cone style will get you that sound.. its normal and its music to my ears =)
