Not bad, but I wonder what the gains are without the port match to the intake manifold.

I know this thread is a few weeks old now but I didnt want to make another post on this...

Maybe Boomba Racing will be able to answer this but how much of a difference would it make if I did the following;

- OEM Intake Manifold porting (to try and match the 64mm throttle body)
- OEM Turbo Porting
- OEM Turbo Manifold porting
- Boomba 64mm Throttle body
- 2.5" hard charge pipes (to get rid of the balloon pipes)
- Bigger intercooler
- Cold Air intake

basically making everything but the head flow a bit better and get rid of the balloon charge pipes. Reason I am asking is because I am looking to keep every thing "stock" looking and too help me reach my goal of 300awhp on a mustang dyno. So I am wondering if Boomba has done testing on any other parts by porting them or if any one has gone this route

Just so everyone know, this is not a simple plug and go mod. You need a re-tune or else the ecu will dump a limp mode on you.

Is this for sure? Or are you just assuming? Not trying to start a fight or be a smart ***... Just I was told this about adding an intake to my MR. People said my transmission would be shifting erratically, getting into limp mode as well as I would be getting dangerously lean… And after throwing the intake on none of this happened and I wasn’t running anywhere near lean conditions.

So my point being is have you tried this throttle body or is it just something you are going on from past experience? because I have two other turbo cars (gnx and TT Z06) and both showed a nice increase when going to a larger TB..

So he had a custom tune on the car before he put the JUN TB on? That could explain why because when I run the regular Cobb AP stage 1 tune with my intake I get a code... but when I run the AMS Stage 1 tune or no tune at all (stock mode) I don’t get a code at all. So what I am saying is its most likely playing with the custom tune and would work fine with no tune as Boomba is stating

Just waiting on someone with a larger turbo to post gains before and after. I'll have my modified intake manifold installed within the next 1-2 weeks and if that looks favorable in the VDR dyno sheets I would want to do a before and after right at STM's dyno.

He got the JUN TB and his went into limp mode without getting tuned again.
