Im looking to do Cams on my X and I need to know what cams everyone else are going for.

 

do you plan on getting a biggy turbo?

 

Its all a matter of preference to me. I like sticking with Japanese internals for my car so I'd probably get either HKS or JUN (more than likely JUN). But get the cams that suit your needs.......

 

Not another one of these threads. HKS cams are not yet available. The cams available are JUN, Kelford, GSC, BC, and Cosworth. At this point all you can do is go with what works. Do your own research and don't sit around and wait for someone to direct you.

 

I have concluded fromy research that the cosworth mx1 cams are the best for your buck if with stock turbo. But even kelford bs don't do squat on bigger turbos from why I've read

 

You need to research lift/duration/ramp rates. Different setups work with different cams.

 

Mx1 don't do much on stock turbo's that's for sure. Trust me

Granted they are great cams, but the stock turbo will just choke out and the cam's won't help because the turbo can't supply any more air. So I would say upgrade the turbo first, then get cams. The cosworth sound badass at least And I know they make power on bigger setups.

 

HKS cams are already out. There is also Blitz cams available.

cosworth mx1 cams dont do much for stock turbo? i have them and gained 20whp/tq with no intercooler or piping...

They've been out since last year, HKS Japan.

 

Wonder if they will make Tomei Cams for the X!?!?! Or do they have those out for the X? .\

 

I am running on E-85 is why I said that, my turbo could not supply enough air to keep up with the new flow of the cams. Like I said, when a bigger turbo comes, then it will be worth it.
