K&N intake kit pics

bought the kit since it was so cheap. finish looks great however hardware feels flimsy.

pics after pre-assemble.

Plastic doesn't retain/transfer heat as much as metal=more horsepower.

Corvette motors have a plastic intake manifold for this reason and to reduce weight...

Looks pretty nice though. The barbs can be replaced with brass if need be. Both plastic seals a bit better once tightened in.

I dunno about you fellas, but the piping looks metal, looks at the welding around the bungs. It has a coating on it...

pipes are aluminum. just vent pieces are plastic.

wrinkle red actually looks good so im keeping it.

dont ask why but i already have ets uicp and intake. i might use the k&n intake but thinking of selling the k&n uicp.
