FP Red Owners Boost Duty Cycles? Boost Creep?
FP Red Owners Boost Duty Cycles? Boost Creep?
So I have had my FP Red for a year now. Been running great and have 4 inch IC core, ic piping, BOV, UR O2/downpipe and AMS test pipe. NO issues. I had the stock exhaust manifold ported locally and car has ran great with the stock cat back. I had to run high duty cycles and tighten up the wastegate arm but was able to hold 24 PSI to redline no problem and car felt great. I finally got around to building my dual exhaust and now I have boost creep. It creeps to about 24.5 PSI at around 6000 RPM but is always above 22 PSI from 5000 on with NO duty cycle on the map at all. I mean 0 on both the primary and secondary selenoids. I have seen some dyno charts where people were having trouble maintaining boost on the FP Red with the stock actuator and I just seem to have the opposite problem. Turbo is not ported as that was not an option when I got it. Anyone else seeing similar results on their map. It does tapper down to 22 PSI at 7000 RPM or so but damn does it feel strong now. Just trying to get a feel if this is an unusual thing or if anyone else is seeing the same thing on their FP Red setup.
No idea. Haven't had it on dyno. After adjusting boost levels still getting spiking when downshifting on the highway. Can not get rid of the massive spiking (28-30 PSI) so I'm installing AVCR today see if it can control boost a bit better. I'm going GT35R HTA later this month anyway.
