Excalibur says he has ETS 4" kit pending install, but wants to switch to UR, his signature!
That's what I meant. All you get is more lag, but no advantage, unless you are making 700+ hp. I was looking into the ETS kit, but was thinking 3.5"-4".
I was just curious, as to his reasons. Maybe heard bad about ETS???
ETS kits seem very reasonable. UR seems most reasonable on the market, but 4.5" seems to big for my plans. (Dom2/FPred/CBRD BBK)
I also want the whole kit black.

Christ thats a big FMIC, I don't know how that puppy fit becaues my Buschur 4" fit only after modifying the back of the bumper beam support a bit by cutting and I didn't think there was another .5" to be had back there and it touches in the front.
The little plastic pieces that are missing actually do 2 things. Once, they force all the air from the front of the cooler into the cooler core, instead of allowing it to go around it. Secondly, they divert air to the fenders, where the oil cooler (Pax side) and trans cooler (sst/drivers side) are located.
Which BR core do you have? Mine certainly is 4.5". The UR and BR core are both manufactured by Garrett. Essentially, it is the exact same core with the only difference being proprietary endtanks and hardware from each manufacturer.

Well your right to a point. The plastic pieces are crap to me. They do not help air go into the core my friend air flowing to front of the car is going right threw that core and by taking those pieces out it does let air hit the endcap of the cooler and that will drop temp down. yes its does help MR and oilside on GSR/MR but I have GSR and oil side im not worried about to much im just into 1/4 mile.
