Why does my service require light keep coming on?

I have a full exhaust with test pipe, Intake and UICP (one piece)

My SRL will come on randomly, when I'm just cruising or right after I get on the car pretty hard. There's no "certain" conditions for it to come on.

My boost spikes up to 26psi at times. Maybe its due to the tq? I've read about something in the tune generating alot of tq which caues the light to come on.

Are you tuned? If not, there is likely something the stock setup doesn't like about the upgrades; the intake could be the cause. If you are tuned, it could be something your tuner setup to show knock (I'm not familiar with the X).

Honestly, it could be a lot of things so you need someone to hook it up to a CEL scanner and read the code, whether that be a shop or a friend that has access to one, etc.

With so much boost and a stock ecu or even not a having a tune, you may have a CEL come up saying overboost
It sounds silly, but ive had it happen and i have an OBD-II scanner, but I just ignored it and never had any problems.

Go to Advanced or Autozone and have them read the code.

I have a scanner tool.. its not a check engine light. Its the service require light...where the LCD turns yellow and has the pictures of the cars drive train and the front wheels turned. From what I've read and been told..its different than a CEL.

I am dealing with this as well. It's not a CEL, my tuner couldn't see one.

It almost always comes up when I am hitting 30psi in 4th/5th gear.

Usually starts when you step on it at low rpms. I am not sure if it is a load related problem or just max boost problem.

The owners manual says its the ASC protecting itself when it sees a problem condition. As long as it goes away when you cycle ignition, which mine always does, it isn't an actual problem according to the manual. However it says if it repeatedly pops up to go to a dealer.

So I still am not sure, would be nice to see a big name shop chime in about this, one of them has had to of seen this before. I have read more and more posts about it.

i had this issue and it was a low fluid level. since it is in the trunk most people forget to check it. at first it was low and i would get this alot, then i filled it up, a little past full, and now i hardly ever get it. since filling it a little past full in February i have only had it happen twice.

it is the fluid for the asc system in the trunk on the passengers side behind the carpet colored door panel.

Maybe something with the test pipe? My ses light came on a couple days after i put my test pipe on. it went away after a day or two.

Hopefully i dont have a problem that i overlooked.
