Well, it looks like I'm not the only person.

Darryl has been helpful to me as well, but he claims his welder has over 15 years of experience and this sort of thing hasn't happened, or very rare at best.

First one, not even 2 years old:

Second one, <2 months later after install:

and I just receive a replacement today with same shoddy welds..

Just installed it, so we'll see how long this one lasts. I'm not slamming the company because they have had excellent customer service so far, but their person they have welding for them needs a little help. Fair warning.

Time and time again it is clear that you get what you pay for. Good research will always pay off at the end. Be willing to pay a professional for their services. Don't trade quality materials and quality craftsmanship for a couple hundred saved. A quality Evo needs quality components. The saving grace is their customer service.

My TBE has had multiple issues. Its the dual exhaust and the mufflers don't line up. Not a big issue, but after about 15k miles, the downpipe broke all the around at a weld. UR was good about saying theyd replace it, but I am not impressed with their welds, as the pictures in the previous posts show. So I had my welder give it some good TIG treatment, so that this problem wouldn't happen again.

Well, today my exhaust welds broke again, completely severing the middle section of the exhaust under the rear passenger seat area. I'm done with this company. No amount of good customer support can make up for a very poor quality product. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Going with AMS and getting it done right.

Exactly, look at the time burned and grieving frustration experienced. It's best to always go with high quality manufacturing and reputable companies out of the gate. With a tool such as evom at our finger tips it easier than ever to find and utilize quality companies such as ams, ets, ... from the start. Best of luck.
