Fp Red or Green

Hi guys, i'm looking to purchase an FP Red, but want to make sure i'm making the right choice. I now know that the Fp Green is out and wanted to know the main differences. Does the green make more power? Spool time? Price? HELP! lol

The FP Green has quicker spool time at the sacrifice of overall flow capacity. At least, that's how it was for the Evo 8/9.

I don't think that the green was ever made for the X, just the red from FP so far...

EDIT: Didn't see it was for the X. Sorry.

I would PM Aniel from FP and see what he says. Not sure on the releases of the Green yet, he might be able to shed some light...

green is out for the X..............faster spool, won't make as much power as a red, depends on how far you plan to push

my goal is 400-450... with a spool rate same or quicker than stock. I'm intrigued to know about the green, is it a larger turbo then the red?

I'm interested in the price differences. So far I haven't heard any suggested prices for the FP Green yet.

i heard that the green and the red are the same price currently. But when FP Green goes on sale on their website, the red may be bumped up another $100

The green is a smaller turbo. Faster spool.

I am running Green on my MR, you lose a little bit of spool time, but the over gains is much greater especially in the high end.

Lose a little over a stock turbo right? Not compared to a red. Just wondering.

^thats right, compared to stock to loses about 600rpm of spool time. However, peak torque still improves over stock turbo.

With red however, you lose even more spool time and sacrifice some peak toque. But yield greater gains in the high end.

If you want 450 area you will need the red since you have an MR.

The green is still good but since you have an MR those lose more power through the drivetrain, for whatever reason (they always dyno lower).

So if you want 450, get the Red. If you want 400, the green could probably make it there on an MR as long as you aren't on a low reading dyno.

If you are worried at all about reaching your goals the Red is your better option.

If you are worried about losing stock spool a lot more, go with the green, both will provide great gains.

i feel like the red seems to be the better option right now? i don't see the main differences between the red and green, well enough differences to justify buying the green over the red. am i correct?
