Are you saying that ETS is better than AEM?
Does AEM need new MAF housing?

No, I'm just saying that it keeps things a little more predictable when tuning the cars. The last thing you need when tuning is to see the MAF register one reading and the actual airflow be different. A good tuner will compensate for every mod you have. AEM is a great piece, there are hundreds who will attest to that. But for people like me who actually want to learn how to tune the ECU, lesser the confusion, the better it is. You cannot go wrong either way though as long as you know what you're doing.

End of the day, it does not matter if you go either way. If you're gonna get a custom tune anyway, they both flow great and you will most likely end up with VERY similar numbers. Its just your preference I guess.

Oh thanks for your accurate feedback. I couldn't find any comparison between the two and I finally got what I was looking for. It seems to me that most use AEM than ETS. There must be a reason why there are so many high user numbers for AEM? Reliable, CARB approved, CAI?? ETS might have heat soak?? (sri)

I think I will choose AEM because it also is CARB legal. Is there anything that I should know before I get AEM? I heard how you have to change the MAF housing and etc. anything else that I should be worried about?

Sorry for bringing up a dead post, but no one brought up the injen. I have the injen intake with the ucip, and it is also has the carb legal decal on the intake, and you can get a wet or dry option filter. It made my car sound much better. You can really hear the turbo spool and the bov. Bought mine from amazon for a little over 200 bucks last week.

Holy thread jack batman

Back on topic, Im getting a K&N intake and UICP combo for my car. We will see how it tunes. I know people are scared of the k&n because oif all the bad luck that the 8/9's have had, but I think that has scared away allot of X owners and this is a completely new intake. I really like how it uses the stock intake snorkel too.

Get the K&N you wont regret it! You get two upgrades for the price of one (UICP & Intake). More than anything the fit and finish is outstanding. You can always get the red powder coat repainted IF you dont like the RED finish! A great product and strangely very few people have gone ahead and installed them from what i have come across on the forums! K&N Typhoon FTW!!

Wow, right now I'm debating between injen or a cobb sf. I'm leaning towards injen because it relocated the filter to the side.

Get the K&N, it has ran perfect since installation and I get no AC fan stumbling even stuck in over 100 degree traffic with the AC on full blast.

Interestingly AEM is showing that their intake for 08's IS legal and 10's is NOT. Very odd. The cert is probably just pending though. One of the reasons I've had AEM intakes on every car I've owned is that they're always CARB legal.
