Help~ hard to shift after changing the clutch and fixing the transmission leak
The shop I went to have a good relationship with the dealership, so when they helped me change the clutch (changed to Exedy stage 1 with ACT flywheel), they found out that my transmission was leaking and helped me take the car to the dealership to fix it. After the dealer fixed the leak, the shop changed my clutch. After I got the car back, there is nothing wrong with the shifting, except I felt the clutch was very easy to be burned comparing to the stock one (I thought the clutch was still breaking in).
After few weeks, the car was getting harder to shift (and still easy to burn), especially shift in 1st, 3rd and 5th and hard to pull out from those gears too. Therefore, I called the shop again. They said the dealer might did something wrong when they fixed the leak; therefore, the shop helped me take the car back to dealership. After a month, I received a call from the shop, they said the dealer said the transmission was fine and cannot locate the problem. All the dealership did was adjusting my transmission.
After I got my car back, it did shift better. But after one hour, the hard shifting was back. Since I needed to use my car to school, I didn't take the car back ( even I take the car back, i think the dealer will still say the problem cannot be located).
Now something new happens, If I don't hard shift enough to 1 st or 3rd gear. When I step on the gas, the gear will pop out. I can hear "click,click,click...." sounds from my clutch (it hurts...). It seems like the clutch is somewhat between engage and disengage but still contacts with something.
The hard shifting happened no matter the car is cold or hot. It is very very unpleasant to drive. I had tried Amsoil and Redline transmission oil. They did help me to improve a little bit, but still very hard to shift.
Does anyone know what happen to my car? If it is not the transmission problem, could it be the clutch master cylinder is going bad? or if it is the transmission problem, what can cause it? and how much to fix it.
I want to adjust the clutch, but I don't know how to do it. I know there is a post for evo 1-9,but not evo x . Will they be similar?
Thanks for reading my long story and helping me out~
