If someone knows a source/part number for an 8/9 sock then please let me know. I need to fix my UR kit single-pump install. I tried emailing Blaqops but no response...from the sounds of things, they must be busy.

I am using the sock from the DIY install posted on the forums. It is probably cotton. I will take pictures of my setup when I take it out this week. Sending in for an e85 rated blaqops double pumper. I have been running great still so I am curious to know how it will all look.

I had the standard issue Walbro sock in mine running E85. I recently replaced it w/ an 8/9 sock from Blaqops. The Walbro sock is cotton and it had not decomposed, but it had turned black. Yes black. Yeah, I didn't care for that much either. I imagine decomposing was the next step. Anyhow, before I got a sock from Blaqops I did some probing around to try to find and 8/9 sock. Apparently, they're hard to come by, and Blaqops has some super secret source he gets them from. I think it's $20 shipped if you order one from him though; definitely do it.

I've decided to work with BlaqOPs on a custom setup. It'll be a Full Blown hanger with the BlaqOPs boost progressive pump/controller.

It's a much more expensive way to go but having the car down to do a core exchange would be expensive for me anyway (I'd have to rent a car). I'll undoubtedly post a thread on one of the forums showing the finished product.

Going from E85 in the summer to E-70 in the winter is ALMOST seamless... if you have an aggressive E85 fuel tune combined with slightly more conservative timing curve tune.

The E-70 is slightly less knock resistant than E-85, so you need to run it a bit richer... this automatically occurs due to the E70 having more gasoline in the mix.

Personally, I will get my E-70 tune done professionally on the dyno, and then when summer hits I will tweak the tune a bit myself on "pure" E85 with the handy dandy Tactrix cable.

The last time I ran E85 on a regular basis was in my EVO VIII with the AEM EMS system. There was a difference in E70 vs E85 but it was not extreme. Changing from Gasoline to E85 or back was more of a tune headache even if you ran the tank almost dry.... this makes a HUGE difference on the dyno tune! When I did my original E-85 tune it was probably actually E-70 and still had a couple gallons of gasoline in the tank when filled up with the ethanol I was pushing 30 psi and making 500 wheel HP on Buschurs dyno at 100% duty cycle on 1000cc injectors. After running two tanks of E-85 through the car I was limited to 26 psi at 100% duty cycle.

Hey goofygrin,

I just received my double pumper fuel system for my Ralliart from Buschur Racing, and I didn't realize they don't come with a fuel filter (the double pumper for VIII included a filter). Do I just need two fittings from http://www.midwayautosupply.com/pm-4...t-800-084.aspx along with the Jegs or Golan filter specified and a length of ethanol compatible fuel hose to make up an under hood fuel filter setup?

I have been running E-85 on the bone stock fuel system for months now, but it couldn't keep up with my power level... hence the double pumper and 1000cc injectors

Later,

Keith

Yup, you just need 30r9 hose for underhood and it's quite common and reasonably priced.

You need to search for Tephra's threads. He has alt map switching.

I have the ams fuel rail and fpr. How could I use a inline fuel filter with them? Would I just cut and install one before the fpr?
