Painting Exhaust / Remove Blue Effect
Painting Exhaust / Remove Blue Effect
First off, yes I searched.
I like the Greddy Spectrum Elite sound but I'd like to do away with the visual bling. Can you paint exhaust black effectively? Temps can get to around 300 correct? Will flat black engine paint just crack over time due to expansion? I *think* the tips are actually stainless not titanium and the blue is just a chemical effect. If they cannot be painted can the blue be removed? I thought I saw a thread where that was discussed, that you could simply polish the blue right off with some agent.
A backup plan is of course is the Perrin Stealth or perhaps Megan systems, but I really like the sound of the Greddy so I figured I'd ask.
Thanks for any help.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...aust-tips.html was the thread you probably saw...
Just polish it off as the thread says, the blue shouldn't come back if the tips are stainless steel.
