Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do about it? My exhaust is super tight under there and CANNOT be shifted... any ideas?

We all have. Get some foam (Heat resistant of course) and put it where it's rubbing. or rebolt it on. there is a little "Play" in there for that. You will be fine.

oh ok... I just thought I would check... any particular foam I should get? It won't rub a hole in the foam or anything?

I used that aluminum foil hi heat exhaust foam. just put it on the body part where it's rubbing. I also used that heat wrap around my exhaust too. did you try to rebolt the exhaust??

My cat pipe was just barely touching one of the bolts on the driveshaft bracket. I cut the bolt off.

hmmm, I suppose that's an idea... i'd rather not cut anything on the car if I can help it though. Once it warms up here i'll put it back up on the jack and see what I can do.

↑ It's not like you're going to hurt anything, there are other bolts holding that bracket on, and there's no stress on the bracket at all.

well I did cut the bolt off and for about 2 weeks or so I guess it was ok.. a little rattle from the heat shields, but NOW the problem is the exhaust is rubbing the bracket itself and making all kinds of noise. Is the best thing just to wrap the exhaust in that area?

I did the exact same thing with my AMS HFC. Works perfect and I still have the cover held in place by the other two bolts.
