FP Green vs Dom 2

Which is a better unit for street/track (not 1/4 mile) use running pump gas?
Response, power & supporting mods to get the most of it.
Don't see many reports of the FP Green.

I wish there was a turbo thread that desribed each one in detail.. I think a lot more people would buy them if there was.

I don't think a lot of people know the stats on these things.

The green is a 54 lb min wheel and the Dom2 is a 52 lb min.

I have seen some impressive cars on the Dom2, not nearly as many people have maxed the green yet so hard to tell.

Either should be great.

^Very true...then again, you can't slap on exhaust and intake on an NA car, do a reflash and gain almost 100whp. Pros and cons either way from someone with a history of both.

In for results. I want to know that if the Red is the race gas high RPM turbo and the Dom is the quick spool street turbo, if the green is the turbo that could go right between them.

I have messed with both before

probably one of the very few owners to have done it .. this is done on MR .. so daily driving is subjective because the gearbox likes te bigger turbos

Lag WAS my biggest worry .. surprisingly .. both had very little in terms of daily driving .. I am back to the older 7/8/9 evos with the TD05H !!

Both turbos spool about the same time and both hits full boost around the same rpms .. 3100~3300rpms @27-28psi in 4th gear (3rd was around 35-3800rps) .. and 5th and 6th was around 3000rpms

midrange for both are about the same obviously ..

The green can hold slightly higher boost between 28-30psi and tapering to 25psi at 7500rpms ..

The Dom holds around 28psi and drops to around 26psi at 7000rpms

airflow wise .. Green flows around 410-420g/s at 25psi 7000rpms versus Dom2 26psi 370-380g/s

Just a yardstick for comparison .. stock turbo flows 320-330g/s at 21-22psi 7000rpms

Drivability wise .. the Dom2 is a better street car .. though this is very subjective because the ingear response at part throttle is slightly better..

Overall quite similiar for these 2 turbos ..

I'll be trying out BB-X later .. maybe .. if HB speed is nice
Or another prototype ..
