Carbon Fiber Driveshafts for the X?
i will definetly be buying one. I've ridden in my brothers STi that had the OEM swapped with a single piece carbon.. WELL worth the money. it was like adding cams on my evo! well maybe not quite as much.. but you get the idea.. it is definetly faster as far as what I could feel.. and after installing it, i was not convinced at all that the driveshaft would do anything. so there was no bias.. but I do know that if i can feel the difference.. the car is goign faster.
We are working on the evo X aluminum Driveshaft.. We have to do some testing before we give it the ok to release but i dont see an issue as we have had great luck with the 8/9..

well it looks like Torqlines drive shaft is a no go for the GSR people as it was designed for the Europe spec Evo X RS.
i'm still waiting back to see if it will fit the NA MR or if they plan on making one for the NA GSR.

The cost/benefit ratio of a carbon driveshaft is not that great, unless you are drag racing and are worried about a metal driveshaft exploding.
The carbon shaft itself is lighter of course than aluminum but once you start adding your yoke and hardware the weight benefit is not significant compared to an aluminum driveshaft.

Metal driveshafts send shrapnel through your interior.
I've been to the drag strip many times and have seen both first hand.
It is cheaper then buying 2 piece brake rotors and you save almost the same amount of rotational weight.
