Manual boost control or new camshafts. Both fairly cheap. Mbc is much easier to install tho.

Umm... no

MBC is not a good idea, cost of cams and install will not justify simply gains... these are not VIII and IX's where cams make a big difference. Gains are not as great.

I would get new lower piping, that will help you a bit. Get new intake if you haven't already. Get a Test Pipe if you can/like. (Car might smell, but you will get a good amount of horses if you go Test Pipe). Get a MBC. Get Cams and if you can, get valve springs, retainers, & head studs with it.
Get your intake and exhaust manifold ported if you can! That will help you alot as well. Port the Throttle body while you're at it, IF you do end up porting the manifolds. [:
So i would go with those mods i listed if i were you. If you did ALL that, you will notice dramatic difference in power and of course, get a legit tune if you DO end up getting all of the stuff done OR even if you get few things done, the tune will help you alot.

My sentiments exactly.

To the OP, have a reputable tuner tune the car. Afterward, Meth / Water injection.

How much power do you want? How much money you got?

Do you have E85 in your neck of the woods?

Contact Cobb or EvolutionDynamics they are both here in the the DFW Metroplex, they can help you out with your power deficiency.

You are not going to see a lot of gains with any of the standard bolt-on mods unless you have a bigger turbo. The stock turbo will run out of steam before the bolt-ons make a difference. The best thing is an exhaust and a good tune. MBC is not the way to go with the X. A good 3 port with a pill will allow your tuner to do a better job. Your wasting your money with most other mods (especially the LICP), although I think you have 93 in Texas so you can squeek out a few more ponies with bolt ons compared to 91oct.

Here in California the difference between a stock turbo car with just a HFC and CBE and the same car with IC piping, FMIC, CAI, etc is about 10whp. Cams on the stock turbo will get you some more area under the curve but it's a lot of money for 20-30whp. Upgrading the turbo is the best bang for the buck, especially if you have access to E85.

nice why dont you just tell him to go and blow the car up. thats why some many evos and dsms blow up because people up boost without proper supporting mods.

I think you need to spend a couple weeks researching your options on this forum before you waste any money. LICP does nothing. If your not changing out your turbo E85 is your best bet. Otherwise I dont think any small mod is going to give you a big seat of pance difference.

Get a testpipe and maybe intake if you don't have one and then get a tune.
