New pickup (clutttch :D)

Burned the stocker out pretty good, so decided that i don't want it to happen again. Result? Exedy Stage 4 twin disc.

Also... making sure to take care of the MC problem with the AMS reinforcement ring. Clutch to be installed this Monday (3/15), and I'll be doing the AMS ring myself the same night.

***Thanks to MAPerformance for the great deal and quick shipment!***

Current Mods/Currently installing:
ARC FMIC
ARC UICP
HKS Racing Suction Reloaded Kit
Amuse R1 Titan Extra Cat Back
Exedy Stage 4 Twin Disc
HBSpeed Tune

Next Steps:
Tomei Expreme Ti Straight Pipe
Re-tune at HBSpeed

Sorry for the bad pic, using laptop camera.

i hate to be the one to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure there are a couple of guys who had the AMS ring and still broke the mc. I'd go with the replacement from SSP.

I thought you didn't need the ring with the Twin Disc?

You're not giving me news, but the way I figure it i'd rather give it a try for $50. If it doesn't work out then i'd need to get the ssp one anyhow. And statistically speaking, I'm making the correct choice

Twice the price, but drives like stock. The ACT is going to be harsh. (edit:I bought the ACT earlier this week, lot of money to drive a little nicer)

Nice pick up though, the twin's have actually been the ones that blow the MC the most. hopefully you have good luck with it.

Nice pickup. Definitely go with a new improved MC instead of the ring.

Where have you seen this? Everything I have seen has said that the CMC lasts with the twins, but needs replaced with the IX if you run ACT/Exedy singles.

Look around, the twins/triples are the worst. The stiffer singles are next worst.

I guess if by misinformed you mean heard directly from people running the twin's then sure.

I honestly don't care, I was a test car for SSP for the MC so I got one for free. No skin off my back. You can choose to believe me or not. But the twin's pressure plate is too stiff and causes the MC to break.

How much was the clutch? I want to buy one for my Evo.

And where can I get more info on the SSP replacement for the MC?

had my exedy td for about 6 months now no issues. Doesnt even feel stiff at all more like stock actually.

I did put in the ams ring as a precaution I rather be safe then sorry. If youre lucky enough or ballin then upgrade the MC why not.

I do have a whinning noise when i downshift hope my tranny is ok.
