No boost :(

So after installing a full turbo back kit, using AMS wide mouth down pipe, test pipe and AP cat back I am now not getting any boost. I was before for about a day of 2. I can somewhat hear the Forge BOV vent, and I can feel the turbo spool, but it doesnt go anywhere. I was shifting into a lower gear today to pass someone and I heard a bang of some sorts. IDK whats wrong, I have looked at all the pipes, hoses and such and everything is on like it should be. I even looked at the hose under the plastic valve cover and everything is on.

My guesses are this

1- I am in limp mode somehow with no indication of being in it.
2- I lost my waste gate valve somehow
3- the exhaust turbine broke lol.
4- BOV is broke somehow??

When I got the car back and under boost I was getting my ASC or ACS whichever it is would come on and my service light for same item would flash on. After some research I knew I needed to get tuned and as long as I didnt go WOT I thought I would be ok.

Car drives fine like I said, no problems at all, except you get on the gas, and its like the turbo isnt even there.

How would you klnow your in a limp mode?

If the waste gate valve broke, how would you know?

Also the chances of the turbine wheel coming off is very doubtful but if it did what would be the symptoms?

Sounds like you lost an I/C hose. It used to scare the $h!t outa me when it happened on VIII and IX. Have you checked where the hose connects to the intercooler?

Did you properly install the BOV (correct orientation)? And did you check the hoses that connect to the BOV?

Did you get your car tuned after installing all of that stuff? Aftermarket exhaust can cause boost spikes without tuning.

Good luck!

Get tuned for your mods, dude. Sounds like your throwing air flow/torque limit codes.

Is your BOV set to recirc or vta?

either I/C pipe has popped off or a vacuum hose, hopefully something simple like that. go back and double check everything that you have disconnected just take your time and check everything

Is the WGA attached? You mentioned you can hear the turbo spool though? As already mentioned, check your I/C connections.

I've rechecked and double triple checked every hose. The bov is a recirc forge bov. The fmic was installed first with upper and lower icp. This week we got the full exhaust. I thought also it was a hose bbut again all is connected. I'm thinkingits in limp mode but don't know how I would know

You mentioned SES and ASC off lights. Are they still on?

Go to Autozone and have the codes pulled for free if so.

+1 on the WGA being attached...take off your heat shield and take a look, that pin that holds the WG arm likes to pop off if installed wrong.

yeah I will have that looked at. The shop I took the X to, to replace the whole exhaust had to remove the turbo in order to install the system. Im really thinking its the WGA as well.

LOL what?

They had to remove the entire turbo? Sounds like they ended up breaking off some bolts when they removed the stock turbo back exhaust. I'm betting your wastegate arm isn't even attached somehow if that is the case... It takes 5 minutes to remove the stock heat shield to check this assuming the car is cold. Just make sure it's all attached and the cotter pin has the wastegate arm attached.

The shop who works on my car is awesome. The owner built his 2400 hp Chevelle. He knows what he is doing. Only reason he took the turbo off, was because of the backwards bolt that connected the turbo outlet portion to the exhaust.

That being said, I removed the heat shield, everything thats supposed to be there is. I actuated the linkage and it is all tight, and you can hear the butterfly valve shut when you release the arm.

I then removed the BOV to make it that was not stuck either, and it was not. I did find the UICP clamp somewhat loose, but that was not the issue either.

So either I am in limp mode with no SES, or I might have broke off some of the WG butterfly valve.

Im taking it to Mitsu tomorrow to see if it is or is not in limp mode, which my buddy a diamond tech who always hooks me up will do. I dont think this is it either though

Maybe a piece of piston went through the turbo and destroyed the blades....
