BB-X or FP Green for Daily Driver

I'm looking to the BB-X as it seems to be a good option. Not really worried about the price difference between the Green and the BB-X which turbo can i get the most power out of with the lowest spool? Does anyone actually have the BB-X?

What im looking for would be

FP Green full spool at what 3500?
BB-X full spool at ____?
FP green if im not mistaken on 91 will give u a max of 370whp?
BB-X or 91 can give you how much?

How close to the stock turbo does the BB-X feel?

Spool also depends on mods and tune...

But in theory a smaller turbo the GREEN will spool sooner than the BB-X. However, you should produce more power with a BB-X than a GREEN.

There's plenty of mods you can do to help a turbo spool faster anyway. And if all else fails, just up the size on the motor. While not exactly "cheap," it certainly will help.

Ive heard great things about the BBX and plan to pick one up eventually. You should be able to make good power with a BBX turbo too.

maybe I have not looked, but I have yet to see a regular guy buy a
BBX and post numbers. all have been testing, maybe I'm wrong, I would wait till you read a few different posts with different mods and fuel types to get a feel for what it can do.

The BBX was really hyped up.

I'm waiting to see some results on 93.

I'll probably go with the Green though since Evo is my DD too. You have to ask yourself how much power is enough? The Green spools up very quickly and hits hard. I think it's a much more fun DD turbo UNLESS you're on the freeway all the time. That's the only time a bigger turbo will shine. I do more city driving than freeway driving. I also don't plan on going over 90mph.

Agreed. I could care less about gains on race gas or 91 octane.
A lot of effort was put into stirring up the community in anticipation for it's arrival, but the marketing was not properly executed throughout because there was no proper follow up with results that are applicable and mean something to the majority of prospects.

I thought I was going to buy it. That whole thread on it praised it like the second coming of Jesus. Over hyping something can leave people disappointed.

I think it's safe to say that the BBX has been more attractive to people running E85 and having more extreme cars whereas the Green is attractive to people running pump and on milder cars (MRs with their torque limits, etc).

I still haven't seen a Green tuned on a GSR w/E85 & cams. I'm like you but in the opposite direction--I'm still waiting for results that would mean anything to me!

cobb in plano has an MR with a green and cams on 93 right now. They're going to be testing it and then moving it to E85 to see what the difference is.

Here's a graph on the green + cams on 93 vs. the stock turbo/cams + e85:

That's a nice graph. I know how the stock turbo feels on E85 and there's certainly nothing wrong with that.

It's not even released yet so how can you guys expect "real world" numbers?
