yeah, a couple of things you had put were...

1. disconnect all original stock hoses

1.1 remove the whole solenoid bracket

2. only remove the top solenoid (brown) I thought the black one was supposed to go and the brown one moved to the bottom?

3. keep the black solenoid plugged in but no hoses attached (that one I thought plugged into the 3 port harness?

4. follow the GS 3 port installation manual, i think port 3 goes to turbo nipple & port 2 goes to WGA nipple. I can't recall now but double check with the manual.

5. you can leave port 1 on GS unplugged but depending on your setup, on your intake if there is a nipple plug port 1 into it.

Ok all, hold on, this is a SERIOUS issue. My boost is spiking to 28.43 lbs. I JUST read on the online manual version that says PORT 3 goes to a high pressure boost source... my manual that came with it says that PORT 1 is the one... will someone please tell me WTF are the correct connections??? Grimmspeed NEEDS to get their manual straight ASAP before someone blows their engine.

The reason is they allow for a quicker reaction time, since they are moving less volume of air through them.

yes but the difference between 1/8th and 5/32th is <insert expletive> all

much better to keep hoses as short as possible

the 5/32 BARELY fits on a lot of the **** on the car as it is. I think stock is 4mm, but I just don't know if I can make that one work.

yeah... to be honest i doubt it makes much difference...

so long as you dont have feet and feet of hose it should be fine..

but you need to get the right plug (i can't remember if its brown or black - i could go look at lunch time) AND right ports..

but you already knew that

i'm gonna send grimmspeed an email now and let them know they could have blown my engine with this misprint.

this is what I sent to them:

I had purchased and installed one of your 3 ports for an Evo X. After having a friend who is a tuner make me several maps my boost continued to spike to 28.43 lbs. which could have blown my engine. Your written manual that comes with the part
, says the main boost source is to go to port 1, which I will gladly take a picture of and the online manual says that port 3 should be the main boost source. I would like EXACT conformation of which lines go to which ports before I run my car again. I am not at all pleased and while I know mistakes can be made, this could have been a 5,000.00 mistake.

I actually meant that port 3 is in the online manual and port 1 is on the written one.

Did you lower your WGDCs? All tables?

Port 1 is supposed to connect to the intake. Port 3 is the correct one.

just follow the instructions i pm'ed (2nd pm i think) to you.
lower your wgdc'c ! Passive i think and zero out Reactive (you won't use them anymore)
patience.
double chk your connections with new hoses (4mm) and zip tie them.
don't rush and i think i did mention slowly increase.
brown goes replaced with 3port and Boost Source/Turbo = Port 3; WGA = Port 2; Port 1 = intake
black stays but connected with the plug without hoses
and if you want more or better help, snap pix and post it up.
