Hmm its weird because they both baselined around the same for the stock evo 10s. But for those mods and psi...What a heartbreaking dyno. Owell itd be fun to say you make 420awhp and spank a 500awhp car. =]

That sucks to see, murlo!

You'll be back, bigger and badder. Good luck.

Thanks Chris...hopefully by mid july-late july so i still have some summer left.

Bigger/badder for sure...my new plans are probably going to require bigger than your 1300cc injectors

Nice VTA on that block Murlo, how can I get that woooosh sound on mine.

Seriously, good luck with the build and GREAT attitude by you. And PROPS for being a man and not reverting to stock to try and convince Mitsu it's a warranty issue. To many a$$holes do that and mess up folks with genuine warranty issues.

You pushed and the motor pushed back, no design flaw there!

btw, are the pics decieveing? I would of that the block walls were thicker than what's pictured.... 1/4" or so?

I'm sure your FICO is on the downward slide.

Well the sleeves are pretty think, you are seeing the area around the crank that is thinner.

However the rod spun around the crank and did break off part of the sleeve.

Anxious to see the final product, murlo. It'll be interesting to see this stack up against mlomker's.

2.2 isn't super necessary, and also it really skyrockets the price. The sleeves are only 500-800 probably, but the machining is like 1500-2k i think.

Here is what I am doing:

GSC S2 Cams
Manley Springs/retainers
+1mm Supertech Valves
ARP Headstuds
Port Polish head/resurface
OEM Headgasket
New OEM Shortblock
Drop out new OEM pistons/rods
Put in Manley Turbo Tuff I beam Rods
Put in Manley stock size pistons (on new OEM shortblock, their is no Glaze to break since it has never been run and they do a lot of machining, so this was the best option, to stick with factory shortblock)
Stock Sleeves and crank and main bearings(main bearings are awesome as long as you don't have an oiling issue)
Cosworth rod bearings
New injectors, probably ID2200's
New turbo....special one.

Edit: also doing upgraded diff pins while I am in there.

Arent the intake valves already to big for the engine already? But depends on your power output. Been quoted yet for the headwork for the oversized valves yet? And i dont think Supertech has finished the oversized seals yet.
