o2 eliminator vs just a down pipe

Hey, I am going to be buying an ets exhaust system. My question is what are the benefits of having the o2 eliminator pipe vs having just the down pipe alone? Any help; advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Supposedly the ETS o2 eliminator divides the exhaust and the wastegate from the turbo (instead of the conventional bell mouth design). This will decrease the amount of turbulence in the o2 housing leading to better boost control/wastegate control. This is a good thing if you knew how erratic boost control is on the Evo X.

I def know what you mean with the erratic boost. My boost drops off about 7 pounds from peak to redline. Wish it was like my old 9. That held boost solid, just dropped a pound or 2.
Thanks for the input.
