Stupid dealer!!!!!

So I lost fifth gear and reverse on the intersatate on my way home from work. Car has been at the dealer since Saturday. Now I'm waiting for the Mitsu rep to come check out my car and deny my claim because of my mods!!!! Car wont be done for at least three days now!!! They cant even drop the tranny until the rep shows up.

I believe it's the fork thats broken. Does anyone know of an estimate of about how much this is gonna cost me????

if i had the tolls or time to do it myself i would. Its my only car. daily driver. Dealer said they wanted $1800!!!!!!! just to pull the trans and put it back in!!!!! Un-REAL!!!!!!!!!! Looks like i'll have to rent a car for a few weeks to drop the car at AMS!! For AMS to pull the trans and Shep to do it up is only $2200.

What mods are done to the car? You might get lucky and have them cover it.

My guess is the clutch and flywheel are your warranty voiders

+1, that sucks. Pay to play Call AMS and see when you can get in there, you'll be in good hands!

Yeah, no way that'll be covered. Shep baby! Get the center diff fixed while they're in there and beat the snot out of it.

It's gonna take weeks, though. If you got the cash then get yourself a $1500 beater. It's the best thing that I've done for my sanity since getting the Evo. Modded cars don't make good dailies.

Turns out the dealer is going to cover it under warranty. The Evo "rep" wasn't able to show up so they just sent him pics. So now i've only got to pay for patching the screw through my tire!!!!

You are extremely fortunate. Many people have been having issues with denied warranty claims.
