So I installed a Megan TBE and the exhaust heat shield over the test pipe rattles like crazy. It seems to be a harmonic, it rattles at 2k, 4k and 6k rpm. How the hell do you remove the heat shield? It looks like it is riveted in.

By the way, the exhaust is not hitting anything. I had someone rev up the engine while I crawled under to check.

 

Cut it away and pry it off. It kind of over laps the aftermarket stuff.

 

Does anyone know another way of getting the heat shields off besides cutting them off? I like to try and give myself the option of going back to stock if the situation needs it.
