BR Intercooler Help

The X BR Intercooler upgrade is 4.5" thick, is that excessive? Does this FMIC retain the front crash beam?

My mods will consist of minor bolt ons. Am I better off getting a 3.5" Perrin, AMS, ETS, CBRD, etc.? 4.5" just seems crazy thick.

Recommendations are welcomed and encouraged.

The Perrin is crazy good bang/buck if you can get it on sale. The buschur will perform awesome guaranteed but I'm not sure on the figment; I'm curious as well! I seem to recall some trimming required, but I hope that it retains the stock crash beam.

What price point is considered "on sale". Site vendors are offering if for around $800 shipped. (versus the ~$950 retail)
