GSC Stage 2 Cam Owners Only...Need Idle Help...
GSC Stage 2 Cam Owners Only...Need Idle Help...
I have had my GSC Stage 2 cams in my car for about 2 months now. I love them, they helped with spool and gained excellent power throughout the entire rpm range. The car runs and drives great. It idles great when the air condition is off.
My Problem is:
When I have the air conditioning on the car does not want to idle. It goes from 1,100rpms back down to 500rpms, then back up, then back down, then will sometimes stall.
I have been to my tuner about this and he HAS corrected the problem, but then after a month of driving the problem comes back. It's like the car re-learns itself (if that makes any sense.) I am going back to my tuner Wednesday to trouble shoot this problem, BUT before I go back I would like to see what other people are doing to correct this problem or if they are even experiencing this problem.
My car is a 2010 GSR with full bolt ons, cams, fp red, 93 octane pump gas, tuned on the stock ECU.
If you could, please post idle tables that may help my problem or any other advice that may help my problem.
Thank You EVOM.
I know ETS uses these cams in their monster X, but it's a race car not sure if they care about the air conditioning. Hopefully Michael from ETS will chime in.
NOTE: Before anyone says it's my tuner or find a new tuner blah blah blah don't even bother to post in this thread. My tuner has been beyond helpful answering his cell phone when the shop is closed and has not charged me a penny to correct this problem. He has gone above and beyond and continues to do so. I am just looking for other peoples idle table suggestions.

I know the ECU adjust parameters over time like if you install an intake and dyno it it will show more gains then if you were to dyno it after say 1k miles. But I would think that retuning it would have solved this. Maybe Tephra or some of the other guys can provide more input.
Learn to live with it? It has to be possible to fix it because I know of cars with Tomei 280 cams, which are more aggressive then my GSC 274's, and they have no idle problems with the air conditioning on. These EVOs are also tuned on the stock ECU.
That's weird about your idle issue cause I have them on my car and it idles at a loopy 1,000 rpms and 1,050 with the ac on all steady.I'm sorry but you gonna hear it it's the tune I know someone who can fix this issue for you with ease he's the gsc cam master when it comes to tuning them or live with it cause winter is around the corner..

Can you show me your idle tables? Or a PM address so I can talk to this so called GSC tuning master?
Can't live with it because I use my defroster in winter and the same thing will probably happen.
