Is Someone Gonna Max The Forced Performance Black Already!?
My original reasoning for not going with these was the fact they are shaved and that means terrible wear rates, but at this point it doesn't matter. Also the star specs have shown to slightly outperform the NT05's, but they are heavy. I would suspect for more of a straight line kind of guy like myself the NT05's would be more logical.
Also look into the Hankook RS3, they are a 140 treadwear tire and very sticky. Compared to the Bridgestone RE11 they held 87-88 mph in a carousel turn at Watkins Glen compared to 85-86 mph before drifting to the outside and it was a repeatable difference. Not sure how they fair straightline but they are a very sticky street tire and decent price wise, only drawback is the somewhat limited sizes available.
