ok intake is DONE! I went to the auto parts store and found the perfect hose to hook up the BOV since my kit didn't come with anything like that.

Now my question is... does anything have an MR and either want to sell that screen on the right side? Or is it possible that I could just take a razor and gently cut out more holes to get more air in there? It's black inside so it's not like you'd notice... if anyone has a part number then I can look into that one too though.

6402A143 - That's for the fog light mesh.

You can get it at your dealer or www.Mitsubishiparts.net

Ok, with the intake on, my impressions are... well it's quite loud with the window down, but no big deal I can deal with it, if my neighbors can't, that will be their problem. I am getting it retuned (see my sig) and still in the process of him adding touches here and there, but it's strong I will say that. I'm sure he will post the numbers, or I will. I really don't know if I feel much of a difference as far as throttle response ... maybe a little more snappy. I definitely cannot say I was thrilled with ease of installation... admittedly I have to take meds for anxiety, which makes my thought process a little slow, but not stupid. It says to cut 8 inches of tube (uh huh huh) off, but the way that piece is shaped there was NO WAY it was going to work with my Perrin BOV... maybe it does better with the stocker. I had to get a 90 degree bent piece from my local autoparts store, which isn't that big of a deal... but it's always nice to have everything that you need right there.

Again, I will show the numbers after the tune is finished, but i'm back using the 3 port with the new intake and they are already higher than with Mellon's tune using the MBC at the same PSI levels.

by the way... i'm not knocking Chris at all... he's given me some very good tunes... the 3 port is just where it's at and this tune has shown me that, even though I sort of knew before.

Does anyone else know if there is an aftermarket piece? I mean I could have my little brother make a piece of rabbit wire for less than 24.95 lol.

Try matching the mesh with your local Lowes or Home Depot. Might get something close!!!

How dangerous is it to run with a P0171 (lean) code with this intake? Honestly I want to accumulate more mods before heading down for a tune.
