I am in the market for an intake too and didnt want to start another thread.

I dont care if it is closed box, looks stock etc..

I just want the one that would give me the most power. Harmon Motive, AMS, AEM, Injen which one to go with?

 

Out of the ones you listed? Basically AEM, which should yield the most and consistent power, but if you do get AEM, you might stick with th OEM CAI. The intake that should net you the most power, however, should be Gruppe-S or Password JDM, those style of intake with ram air affect.

 

I gave those as an example. It doesnt have to necessarily be one of those


What about ETS 4"?

 

Does anyone know about the ETS intake? My friend said he would sell me his aFe Stage 2 for 150 or is the ETS better?

wouldn't 4" be a little big for basic bolt ons and stock turbo? I would imagine 4" only if you went black/ef4 or bigger.

What about AGP intake?

 

I got the injen intake system with the upper intercooler pipe combo and I love it. The best part is that it has the California CARB stamp so when I get pulled over the cops can't say sh*t cuz its legal.

 

The more and more I look into an intake, the more I like the Injen..
If you're in CA like us or if you want CARB, then you have like 3 options:
Cobb, AEM or Injen
price goes in that order as well

Cobb has no heat shield, which I've heard that they might come out with a box but no word on that... lol

Seems like if you spend just a little bit more you can get the Injen which looks a bit nicer than the AEM box but whatever floats your boat. A few people have posted plexi-glass tops for their AEM boxes which look pretty nice.
