Minnesota has more E85 stations than anywhere in the country by a long shot...we have a **** load of E85 Evo's here and no one ever has this happen. There are several theories out there, but the one most tuners here suspect are just ****ty stations where people fill up.

Regardless, I am yet to see an X with this issue.

The car is in no way relevant to this happening. Altitude may have some dealing in it but there is no way you could ever say no car from Minnesota has this issue with e85

my injectors where clean. have been running e85 for about a year (15k) never seen any problems. i swapped to e85 with less than 7k on my car.

What problem would that be? Too much power on the stock block syndrome?

Gets me re-thinking my strategy of making more power on my stock block setup. Maybe it's time to do a decent buildup of the engine after all.

I wouldn't have just sent them in, I would have had them flow tested infront of me at a local shop. Whats to say they are not lying to save a huge headache?

For sure chris, weren't you looking to go bigger on your turbo as well?

i would save your self the trouble and just build it now. it's pretty much been proven these motors don't like to make torque down low.

i wish i had them tested myself too. you should see the return auth paper
the sent back with my refund check. the line where the test results are in has been whited out and blacked out with a marker and written over top of. it just says issue check per mike. lol

2 things.

1. I am happy you are on top for the MR's and not that weird *** Australian who uses cavemen equipment to measure his time.

2. So what did DW say about your injectors? You didn't call to question that? I am curious if they said there was actually a problem. Even if there was a problem they wouldn't be liable for anything other than their injector as that is the risk we take with modded motors. I am just curious if you had a legit failure. Not trying to go one way or the other, just want to see what happened with your motor as you were on the torque limit as far as a stock block goes. It is easy to blame one thing or another when a motor goes but to truly find out the problem is tough with this kind of devastation.

just a question, if the injectors were to fail i would think it would melt a ring land off a piston, not break a rod? as the pictures appear a rod has been through the side of the block.

I had an injector fail on my 2jz race motor and it melted the ring land off the piston and put it through my turbo.
