Cam/Turbo install process
Thanks murlo. That makes sense. I may just drop the cams in and do the rest later, if I go MX1 route. Otherwise it will add almost a grand to my upgrade.
Since I will most likely do BBX, I will be OK with just cams.
That is why I can't go with a black. I feel one is playing with fire running that turbo on stock top and bottem end. I just can't justify driving this car super conservative tune on a black, so that I can save the extra $1,000, when I build the engine for minimum $5,000 in a year or two.
Might as well drive a more streetable turbo until the engine is ready to run the higher boost needed for that turbo. Maybe by the time my engine build happens, there will be an even better option available for me.

After having both the MX1's and the GSC s2's, I'd say that the s2's will not lose any spool over the mx1's. If my turbo spooled any faster i'd be under 4k which is unheard of for a 37psi turbo. I think the GSC's are very quality and they would be fine on any turbo, I would honestly run them on a stock turbo now.
Good choice
Oh, and yes you can do the trick of pressurizing the cylinders and moving the crank as you do each cylinder but honestly the correct way to do it is to pull the head and to get some new head studs and a new head gasket.
