Can a CMC Failure case other problems?
Can a CMC failure cause other problems?
Hey guys,
One day before my tune I was pointed out that my Magnus CMC was bad as it started getting stuck to the floor. That same night i drove my car home just fine besides a few times at a stop light when it got stuck which i lifted it with my foot and pumped it a few times. Lately the CMC has been fine enough to still drive around, but tonight, it took a $hi*. Magnus is taking care of the situation saying that they will send me a replacement oem 9cmc. Well, after dropping off a friend (down the street) I was putting it in gear to go home and it stalled, hard. This is when I noticed the pedal was flat on the floor. After a few attempts and 3 hard sounding stalls me and my buddy decided to just push it to my house. This morning I wanted to move it off the streets and onto the drive way by leaving it in 1st as it started rolling by itself (as if it was an automatic and you just let off the breaks, the pedal was still stuck to the ground still). After stalling in 1st gear, i tried to start it in 1st and the motor was turning over making the car start inching enough to get up the driveway.
My question is, 1) If the pedal is stuck to the ground while in 1st gear, how did it stall if i never lifted the pedal off the floor?? Also, are there any possible damages tranny/drivetran damage? I did heard alot of metal shifting sounds during the stalls, but i think its normal..im just paranoid of more problems..Any information would be appreciated!
Thanks!

YES ABSOLUTELY, the master is not working so you're trying to jam the car into gear with the clutch engaged.
I dont force it into gear, if anything i pull it out of gear (will this mess up my links?). Then once its in neutral, I lift the pedal with my foot, give it a few pumps and then put in in gear (without forcing).. Im probably just going to leave it on the drive way and have it towed. Last thing I want is to mess things up.. Do you guys what the possible things that can get messed up? This way I can ask the shop to check or something..
