Asc service needed warning (another one)

I'm getting the same asc and service soon light. I went to advanced and no code found. Checked oil, ATF (trunk), with no luck. I was working on my intake the other day when it started. I re did everything on the intakes today.

I am only running an invidia o2 back exhaust, and aem intake. The light comes on after about 10 minutes of driving and goes away after a restart. The weather is a little colder here for the last few days. First two times the error happened I was pulling into a parking spot. I have no clue what's going on. Seems like no one does. I am untuned though...

My car has 24xxx miles on it. I read transmission fluid can cause the light after a few minutes of driving. I wanted to try and change that. Car is driving perfect. I don't know what steps I need to do to figure this out....

You might be over-boosting. Do you have any way to log your car?

The code is throwing around 3500 Rpms. I did a couple quick pulls and no code, but after 10 minutes of driving the code pops up

You need to get a way to log your car. You're untuned running an intake and exhaust...not the greatest idea.

Either find a local ECUFlash tuner or buy a Cobb Accessport.

I also went to advanced and they couldn't pull the code. So that also worries me. I'll probably take the parts off and go to Mitsubishi. First I'm going to go to a friends and have him run a full diagnostic through the the tranny and make sure its nothing like that. Ive drove very conservatively for the last 2 months. Not a whole lot of tuners in swfl....

Get a Cobb Accessport then. Tuning, logging, and diagnostics all in one unit.

Going to Mitsu will be worthless, it's your mods causing the warning/light so they will not be able to replicate it if you return to stock.

The Mitsubishi thing is for the big picture if something is broken...

I am just going to a tuner. No need for the accessport

ASC error can be triggered by over-boosting to 30+ psig. This is very dangerous on pump gas, especially untuned.

Cool...guess I was confused since just above you made it sound like there weren't any in your area.

No. What I was saying like the pm is no one around tunes access ports. I was confused also. I didn't read your post about going to a tuner. I'm just not completely convinced it's over boosting. People have had the same issue with the fuel pump relay, brake light sensor. I am driving like to much of a grandma to think it's over boosting. Plus, if it was an engine code wouldn't it stay to read the code when I brought it to advanced?

I'm going to do a test and take the intake off and see if it helps. I just need to understand the reasoning behind the over boosting solution....

Sorry for stepping on your toes..

Many of the ASC codes are not engine codes so no they won't pop up on Advanced's system. When i was going over 30psi I had mitsu scan my car, i was tuned for it of course, and it popped up with a bunch of tranny/ASC codes

I have the same problem. So i wait until it shows again and drive the car to a mitsubishi dealer since the code cant be read by my scanner. There they told me that the problem was a speed sensor that was bad. They also told me that the new one has some changes because they find that some old sensors can get water inside and they fix that on the new ones. So i recomend you to take it to a dealer and get it fixed. In my case was under warranty the price for that thing its about 200.

Removed the intake and returned to stock. If it pops up again i will remove my downpipe and make it completely stock. Thus, knowing its not overboosting

Ya that why i didnt think it was overboosting. Because if it was overboosting that would be a engine code. In an above post and i said i removed the intake, im going to test it and see how it goes.
