I want to upgrade my cams but heard to avoid kelford cams..I was thinking HKS 270 cams...Any opinions

 

Kelford makes some of the better cams for the X. I would avoid their early IX cams but that's it.

 

GSC is a good option.

use the search and there was a cam shoot out a while back...but it helped me make a decision.....hks came out on the lower end as did brian cower....kelford and looked good.

you will want the 264/252 combo unless you upgrade the head.

 

thats always safe. especially in virginia where the cops are absolutely insane.

Cosworth hands down

 

flow test the head and you will find that the cosworth mx1 grind is as close to optimal as you will find on the market.

 

did you get your cams? what other mods do you have. Just curious if you don't mind revealing...

 

Kelford make a great cam! I personally vote JUN. Best cams period but pricey.

You are like one of two people to run those cams.

Everyone else is wise and runs other companies' cams. GSC/AMS/Kelford have produced the best results on the X over all the different setups I have seen.
