I installed my turbo back exhaust setup not too long ago and did it by myself. It was not too hard. Just make sure to disconnect the o2 before taking it off the oem exhaust pipe.

Goodluck and post some pic's =-)

There's only 4 bolts and the rest is hangers. I think the ones by the cat are 17mm. I had to buy a wrench for the o2 but I can't remember what size it was.18 or 19 maybe? I also counted how many turns it took to unscrew the o2 because I didn't want it to be "twisted" when I screwed it back in the test pipe.

If your car is like mine the two bolts from the downpipe to the cat were stuck really bad..

Use anti seize when you put back the o2 sensor.

before you attempt removing the o2 sensor.........

........soak the joint with penetrant at least an hour before.

when you go to remove....attempt to "tighten" first.

this will break the seize at the threads. then proceed with removing .

if at any time you hear "squeaking" when wrenching the sensor out

stop and apply more penetrant wait a little then proceed with removing.

the last thing you need when installing a H.F. cat....is tearing the o2 sensor threads.

I believe the o2 sensor is 21mm.

I would make you sure have replacement gaskets and exhaust bolts as the stock exhaust does not use nuts/bolts.

Be careful not to break either one of the 14MM spring bolts into the O2 housing. Mine was seized into the O2 housing and it turned into a nightmare. Just take your time. If you are stuck have someone help you.

Yeah, I had one of friends help me with the install. He's a huge dude and was able to break pretty much all the stuck bolts with strength. Just be patient with them and/or soak them in PB Blaster overnight. We didn't though; so, it's not necessary. I used M10 x 1.5 x 40mm bolts with washers and lock nuts for everything from the downpipe back. You will need four.

I reused the stock gasket for the downpipe to test pipe, and I used two 3'' Grimmspeed gaskets for the TP to catback (they weren't from the same company, thus I needed thick gaskets to prevent leaks). Don't try to use a 3'' Grimmspeed gasket on the stock downpipe as the heat shield won't allow you to align the gasket. I also sprayed the gaskets with copper sealant prior to install.

The O2 sensor was a pretty huge bolt, but I can't remember what size we used to loosen it. Hope that helps.

I can just get gaskets at local exhaust shop correct? And I won't have to worry about the spring bolts bc I'm not changing the down pipe...

And since all you guys have done this,.. Is it worth just paying a couple bucks to have a shop put it on? I have basic intermediate mechanical skills, but also don't want a headache four hours trying to get everything to work correctly...

Your local exhaust shop may have the gaskets and may not as presumably you are installing a 3" exhaust and that is not a common sized gasket for a shop to have in stock. I some vibrant ones from amazon for my recent install.

The install is honestly not difficult at all so if you are willing to take the time to do it I would say give it a whirl yourself.
