Help! In middle of changing rear diff fluids - which drain plug is magnetic?

Quick Q:

On the rear diff, there are two drain plugs. One is magnetic. Does that go on the part where the ATF SP3 is (torque transfer mechanism), or where the LSD gear oil is (differential mechanism)? I may have gotten the two mixed up.

Thanks!

the one that has a groove on the tip of it is for the LSD gear oil. I am pretty sure they are both magnetic though

You're right, both are magnetic. The longer magnetic one goes to the ATF SP3. The shorter one with just a magnet embedded on the end of it goes to the LSD gear oil.

I think think the magnetic one is the one that the gear oil goes in.
