Do our cars come with a bov?
One comment before I repress this thread's existence: technically, our cars do not have a blow-off valve. A BOV is opened by pressure only. It's a boost-restriction device. Period. We have a compressor bypass valve or diverter valve, both of which are at least partially opened by vacuum. It's a CBV when it opens during spool-up; it's a DV when it opens during a shift. Some people do make the distinction that a CBV is only opened by vacuum while a DV is opened by a combination of vacuum above and pressure below, but that's not (yet) universal labeling.
