I've Recently sold my Evo 9 and have been thinking about getting a X and i present you guys with this question.
How much dose it cost to fully build a X. I'm taking Stroker/Turbo Upgrade/Meth the works just a basic ball park? Thanks in advance. Donny,

ITS COSTING ME ! ummmm lets see 5k for a 2.2 L from erl , sent trani in to shep for 1880 full work done .. thats race/strip and then some .. full bolt ons runs anywhere from 2500-2900 then fuel system can run from 1200-2000 depending on setup ... then drop in some simple coilevers for 1-2k as far as the turbo comes along depends on what you want im going with maperformances t3 kit with a ball bearing 6266 with an a.r of .63 and revving the F@#@ out of it to 9800 rpms on e85 hoping to make a solid 700 hold power up top and produce as little lag as possible o!!! and building my head cost me about 1200 port polish and decked by map and another 200 to port the intake mani plus i have kelford 214b cams with valves springs and retainers lol which i got for a good price at like 750 for the set so i dono add it all up?? your looking at alot lol took me 3 years lol
im at about 20k with all the stuff im getting done but i got the jdm interior which i love and added navi n all plus a fully built car all i want for next christmas are my volks and a lip possibly a du luck trunk and ill call it a day lol

o forgot to add the clutch in there and the swap to an evo 9 clutch cylinoid plus a bunch of little junk like turbo timer and aem wideband plus boost guage n what not ... keep in mind the motor is all out built resleeved honed decked to 9.5.1 compresson and bored out to 90 mm with custom je pistons with reenforced wrist steel pins all arp'd out lmao so this is quality work done by top notch shops for a great deal ..but go big or go home is like they say so im going big ... and in light of the situation with ams and the agent orange gtr and its tag that reads evo lol i plan on getting a similar tag stating gtr lol hahaha hope this helps? its my current build so far so please keep in mind that labor was thrown into the 20k mix
There is really no ball park when it comes to modding. Especially when you are talking engine build. Just remember, you get what you pay for. My sugguestion would be to look AMS, ETS, MAP web sites and build you a wish list of the items you want. That should give you an idea. You can also save a bunch by doing some of the work yourself.
keep in mind the LABOR.
Tune + labor will literally be as much as the cost of parts, well in this case not as much but close. If you get it all done at the same time (which is always your best bet) it wont hurt you that much but if you divide it into 4-5 times yea it will cost you as much as the parts.
Depending on the build, I would still say (if you go with high quality/overpriced parts like I did) you are looking between 25-35k with labor. Now if you arent a pro driver and wont be getting your money back, you might wanna look into a gtr lol.
